Single storey rear extension and contemporary zinc loft extension in Conservation Area
This scheme was phased between the more straightforward (in planning terms), but substantial ground floor extension; and the large modern loft extension that was hard fought for in the face of opposition from the Design and Conservation Officer and the Lee Manor Society.
Despite some compromise on our part, the space gained in the loft is far more than would have been allowed if a solely conservation led approach had been adopted.
The end product was allowed despite exceeding the guidance of the SPD, on account of its 'exceptional detailing and high quality of design'.
