Manor Lane #1
Zinc and structural glass loft extension
We had loads of positive feedback on this new loft on a prominent corner in the sensitive Lee Manor Conservation Area.
Much credit is due to the exemplary clients that allowed us to challenge the expectations of the planners at LB Lewisham as well as the neighbourhood conservation society.
This was the first prominent, modern loft in the Conservation Area and has gone on to allow us to further develop an alternative to the standard tiled boxes and smaller traditional dormers in the area and (we feel) enrich the CA.
It is now included in LB Lewisham's SPD on Residential Alterations and Extensions as an example of how modern designs can contribute to the ongoing history of conservation areas.
